- To obtain a marriage license, both the individuals must be present in the Town Clerk’s office.
- If one or both applicants are under 18 years of age, parental consent is required.
- Marriage licenses are valid only in New York State.
- A marriage license is only valid for 60 days beginning 24 hours after the exact time it is issued.
- Fee: $40.00
- Applicants must bring one of the following age-related documents and one of the following identity-related documents:

- Birth Certificate 1. Driver’s license
- Baptismal record 2. Passport
- Naturalization record 3. Employment picture ID
- Census record 4. Immigration record
- ALSO – If an applicant has been previously married, a certified copy of the Decree of Divorce, Certificate of Dissolution of Marriage, or Spouse’s Death Certificate must be provided for all previous marriages when applying for the license.
